- 1981 -- Computer Command Control debuts
- 1986 -- Caprice Classic Brougham introduced
- 1990 -- All-new exterior and interior models debut for 1991, Classic Brougham and Classic Brougham LS discontinued
- 1991 -- Caprice Classic LTZ named Motor Trend's "Car of the Year"; Caprice Wagon returns to the lineup in the fall
- 1992 -- 5.7 Liter V8 optional equipment on Caprice Classic Wagon
- 1993 -- New rear exterior styling
- 1994 -- New 4.3 Liter V8 and Impala SS introduced; dual air bags and redesigned instrument panel
- 1995 -- New rear-quarter panel and window styling, on Caprice Classic Custom interior package.
